Marry Christmas / Happy Birthday Mom!

Its that time of year.  Christmas is here.  My mom decided to visit between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year.

I always have a hard time shopping for my mom.  She is one, that if she needs or wants something she just buys it.  So I decided that I would treat her to a painting and wine experience as her Christmas & Birthday Present!

I am so glad that this is what I decided for us to do.  There are several studios in the KC area.  We went with the Thirsty Palette.

We had a GREAT time!

2013 Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we drove down to Wichita.  Heidi (my sister in law) threw a Jamberry Party.  So we decided to make it a family trip!  The Party was on Friday night, so we drove down friday afternoon.
Here are the girls holding hands while watching a movie in the car.  It was rainy/snowy and cold while we drove down there.
The next day the weather was better and we decided to head to the pumpkin patch before heading back to KC.  It was chilly but not wet and miserable.

Trip to El Paso & Las Cruces

2 weeks ago the girls and I hopped on a plane and headed south.  My niece was getting married in Las Cruces and Cami was a flower girl!  This was an exciting trip.  The traveling part was kind of difficult, but we managed.  Reese is at an age where sitting still for any length of time is deemed cruel and unusual punishment.  Luckily Cami is a veteran traveler and took everything in stride.

second leg of the trip heading out there.  This pretty much sums up how things went for me.
Thursday afternoon we attended the bridal shower.  Here is Cami modeling for one of the typical games at showers.

Afterward we went to Si Senor's for dinner.  I tortured my husband by sending him this photo

Friday night was the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.  The grooms mom hosted the dinner and had great kids tables set up with paint, play dough and coloring!  It was perfect!
Saturday.  Cami and I headed into Las Cruces early.  We had lunch with my Major Professor from my Master's program.  I consider him a friend and mentor and I also try and make time for a visit when we are near.  Afterwards we were in wedding mode.  Cami had a hair appt and then off to the venure to get ready.
She did great.

Cute photo booth at the wedding.  The kids got a kick out of it.  This was how they did the guest book!

We got up and around Sunday and headed for the airport.  Another long traveling day!  Thanks for the great memories.  It was wonderful to be able to see so many family and friends
Its hard work being a flower girl!
