Family Pictures

Here are our Family Pictures. I have been looking forward to getting some taken because it has been a year plus. Our amazing photographer Leah Rush took them (rushhomephotography). We went to the same school growing up and I graduated with her younger brother. She was absolutely wonderful and we had a great time! I totally recommend her to anyone looking to get some great family pictures. She was especially great with Cami!

Olivia's Third Birthday Party!

Happy Birthday Olivia!

Olivia's birthday party was this past Sunday. Her actual birthday isn't until the end of the month, but with the holidays her mommy & daddy decided to host her party a little early this year. Cami has been looking forward to this day for weeks....literally! Miss Kaitlyn told us long ago that there would be a princess at Olivia's party! Oh Boy!

When the invitation arrived, we promptly placed it up on the fridge and every time we saw it we talked about how we'd get to meet Snow White! All attendees were asked to dress in their best princess attire, Cami wore a dress that was made by her Grandma and used to be her cousin Paige's. It has pictures of all the princesses on it. Owen was the lucky boy to be the only prince at the party. He didn't seem to mind!

beginning of the party. The girls were all playing ring around the rosey.
Snow White's much anticipated arrival!
Snow white meeting all the princesses
Snow White was so wonderful and fully entertained and managed the kids for the full hour that she was there. They all loved her and listened pretty well considering there were so many kiddos!
parachute fun
Snow White taught the kiddos... I mean royalty how to do the Hokey Pokey!
I think this might have been in between the freeze dance and the hokey pokey

As many of the group that we could gather around Snow White prior to her departure.
Worn out towards the end of the party, but still having a great time!

Thanks so much to the Altman family for allowing us to be a part of Olivia's special day! Happy Birthday Olivia Grace....We Love You!

Daddy's Birthday

Happy Birthday Matt! This past Friday Matt turned 33! He was coming home from meetings in Florida, so we were not able to celebrate how we wanted but we made due! We picked him up at the airport a little after 9pm. We had done some pre work to make his short time home feel special (he was only home for about 36 hours before leaving for another meeting).

We made funfetti cupcakes, cards and posters. We drove up to Santa Fe and bought him a few things at the under armor store. We met him at the airport with a gift and balloons and came home and had cupcakes. The day after his birthday we took him out to dinner at outback and made his favorite cookies.

Daddy's poster, which is still hanging up
Happy birthday balloons. Can you tell who picked out the Mickey balloon? By the way, these balloons (almost a week later) still look perfect. I got them at the dollar store!
On our way to supper to celebrate
Birthday kisses!

Last week

Well, Matt was out of town this week. He was in FL at some meetings for the PGA of America. While he was gone we spent a lot of time with our good friends the Hauquitz family. Cami and Piper are about 3 1/2 weeks apart and love to play.

I watched Piper one day so her mommy could take her baby sister to get some blood work done. That night they had Cami and I over for dinner, and the following friday we went to this fun (new to us) play area called Monkey Mania. They had bought a groupon and invited us to tag along...here are a few pictures of our adventures that week.
Cami and Piper at our house playing woof-woof.

I wish I had taken some pictures of the girls when we were at the Hauquitz house, they were so cute playing babies and chasing poor chester (the dog) around the house.

The next few pictures are from Monkey Mania. It is an interactive play area. They had a dress up area, big blow up jumper, obstacle course, art center and pretend play area. It was a lot of fun!
This part was really cute. They had a dress up area and a runway with blaring music and fun lights. The girls loved it. Here they are as princess rockstars!
The princess rockstars are working the runway!
Sweet Princess Piper
Trying out the superhero section.
Ironman is hitting the catwalk.
Trying out a few more options in the dress up room. Sydnee looks a little unsure of what is going on.
Don't worry Albuquerque, Batgirl is here and flexing her muscle. You all are safe.
They even had a kids exercise room.....here is Cami working out on the ellipitical.

Afterwards we headed to five guys for lunch then off our separate ways. Thanks Hauquitz fam for a great week of play and fun!

Halloween Party Fun!

Happy Halloween! What a fun day and night! Where to begin, well several weeks ago, Kaitlyn and I decided that we would co-host a halloween party...and so the fun began. We had three kinds of soup and lots of other yummy food. The Altman's were gracious enough to open up their home for this adventure. We had spooky mummy juice boxes, lots of candy, games and a whole lot of people we love! We are so thankful for all our friends that joined us and were willing to help us by bring food and their spooky littles to play!

So here is a rundown of our day, got up and started working on the yummy soup. We went over to Kaitlyn's to set up and bring lots of stuff over. Bonus play day for Cami and Olivia. Back home to finish cooking and take a nap. After nap we loaded up the truck with stuff once again and headed back to the Altman's, but first a quick stop to Trick or Treat at Daddy's office. Which is always a big hit. The office staff were not exactly expecting us, but luckily there is a stash of candy in the kitchen and breakfast bars....Cami lucked out with some of each!

Next stop, Party TIME!

The Altman's Spooky house! Love all the decorations. Kaitlyn and I have been saving milk jugs for weeks to do those ghost lights!
We had several activities/games for the kids. One of which was a bean bag toss station into monster's mouths. The Altman's made the adorable monsters and I contributed the bean bags (another useful sewing machine project).
Spooky Mummy Juice Boxes
Hailee made these adorable pumpkin rice krispie treats
Another game, pin the nose on the Jack-O-Latern.

This picture is from before the party actually started. Cami and I came over to the Altman's house early to get everything together and set up. These two cuties were ready to go already!
Daddy's here from work.
Sweet Olivia the Kitty Cat
Sweet Piper girl! She is dressed as Princess Belle, she even had a wig on earlier in the night. Her daddy came dressed as Beast...they were a great pair!
Freeze Dance party. this was serious stuff, since the lion took her mane off
Our cookie decorating station was a big hit! The kids would decorate and ice cookies and before the parents could stop them they had eaten four or five cookies! Aubrey (Supergirl) was adopted by Cami as her big girl cousin. As soon as she walked in Cami was attached to her hip!
During the 'Freeze Dance' Game. Caleb in the Elmo suite, Sam as cookie monster...
Trick or treaters waiting at a neighbors door....this wasn't even all of them!
The two party planners....
A fast moving Trick or Treat picture....appropriate for a Lion.
This shows you the mob that the kids traveled in while they were trick or treating. Matt walked with Cami the whole time, I stayed back and clean up a bit and gave candy to other trick or treaters. When we walked out to join our crew we could hear them all the way down the street! The surprise on the homeowners faces when they opened the door to 10+ kids was priceless!
Trick or treating. I couldn't get her to pause for a picture. She had such a fun time. That night when Matt was putting her to sleep she said, "Daddy, I am going to Trick or Treat tomorrow night too!"
Can you tell these girls love each other! The last 20 minutes after everyone left they just ran around the house hugging each other.
We had such a great time. Thanks to all of our friends that came and enjoyed, ate, played and trick or treated with us! It was so fun! Special thanks to the Altman's for opening up their home for this super fun night!
