Daddy's Helper

This weekend we made the decision to plan as little as possible and spend a lot of time just the three of us. As tournament season approaches we know how busy and on the go we will be. This weekend we did a lot of cleaning, re-organizing and de-cluttering. Basically this weekend started the spring cleaning season at the Williams Household.

Oce of the more fun activities of the weekend...at least according to Cami.... was helping Daddy wash the vehicles. Yes, NM you have Matt to thank for that 15 minutes of rain on Saturday, hew washed the cars that morning!

Zoo

On Wednesday a bunch of us met at the zoo. I'm sure we were quite the sight 7 strollers in tow and 9 kiddos. It was a little cool in the morning but ended up being a beautiful day. We walked around for a couple of hours and then sat in the grass and ate lunch and the kiddos ran around. By the end of the day all of us were down to our shirt sleeves soaking in some much needed sunshine....not to mention a little vitamin D.

Cami is to the point that I still take the stroller, but she walks the majority of the time. It works out well for me so that I am not having to get her in and out of the stroller at every exhibit.

Lions unfortunately weren't visible this trip (otherwise they would have been the favorite). The Polar Bears, Seals/Sea Lions, Giraffes and Elephants were the highlight.

Our Seal friends were pretty noisy today. Barking and Barking
running around the seal exhibit
Polar Bears. The polar bear was pacing back and forth really showing off for the kids.
After lunch we let the kids run and play. Towards the end of our visit Cami, Olivia and Abby were sitting in a circle. They were pretty far away, so I have no idea what they were doing. But it looked so adorable.

Phoenix

WOW!!! What a fun trip. It is so rare that we travel and Matt isn't working the whole time, even more rare is a time that we travel and it is just the three of us. I truly cherished this little get away as we were able to spend wonderful quality family time.

We left Thursday morning. didn't do much on Thursday except stop at an outlet to walk around and explore the resort. Friday we decided to go the the Phoenix Children's Museum, It was a Blast. It was a little pricey, but totally worth it. We all had so much fun, Matt and I relished in watching our growing daughter explore and learn.

This is the second floor. The structure behind us is a huge climbing castle. The three of us climbed all the way to the top. What we didn't know when we started was that there was no slide at the top....you have to climb all the way back down too! The structure is the height of the building and goes up all three stories!
Peek-a-boo Mommy. This was in the 'Fort Room'. This room was filled with all kinds of things tailored to building all size forts (sheets with loops on them, clips, soft large blocks, crates etc).
Where's Cami....There she is
Building

Also in the 'Fort Room' were these nylon sheets, again something to build a fort with. They had Velcro on the sides. My two SUPERHEROES knew just what to do with them!
Super Cami and Super Daddy to the rescue
Phoenix Children's Museum. Arts and crafts room.
On the second level they had all these pool noodles hanging from the ceiling to create a maze. Cami loved this. Not even a bit apprehensive about hiding from daddy in there.
Kitchen area. Cami and Daddy working on a pizza with the pizza oven. More kitchen pictures to come. A few picture were out of order.

This Picture is a bit out of order, but here are Matt and Cami in front of the waterfall at the pool of our Resort.
Phoenix Children's Museum. They had a large grocery store and kitchen cooking area. Of course Cami immediately gravitated there. She loves to play kitchen with toys or mommy's kitchen utensils. She spent a good chunk of her time there playing, and would have spent all day.
Phoenix Children's Museum. They had a toddler area. It had all kinds of interactive toys sized and weighted for toddler use. Cami loved this area too and again we had to make her leave this area too. Here she is with a baby doll in the stroller.
Our last day at the resort. The weather finally decided to cooperate with our plans. We spent a couple of hours swimming before packing up in the car to head back home. Here are Matt and Cami enjoying the lazy river.
Matt enjoying the water slide. Cami was too little to go and they wouldn't let us hold her and go down. So Matt and I took turns holding Cami and going down the slide.

Cami is growing and changing so much. She is Talking and Talking. At one point on Saturday she and I were swimming in the hot tub. Around the way, we saw a bride and groom having pictures done (they were having their wedding at the resort) Cami said, 'Pincess Mommy' and pointed towards the bride. Who by the way did look like a princess...tiara and all. "pincess pictures'. After they finished taking their pictures Cami said 'pincess bye bye' I explained to her that the princess had a party to go to with her prince. She then said 'pincess party fun'.

I am so blessed to be able to spend all day everyday with this sweet girl. She is so amazing and growing up so fast.

Daddy / Daughter Comparison

Riding Bikes.

Matt is obviously a bit older than Cami...but I thought it was so cute...I had to include it.

When we were at Matt's Parents house the last time. Grandma suggested we get a picture of Cami in this crock. There is a similar picture of Matt when he was a little one too. Although, Matt was 'swimming' in his, Cami was just playing peek-a-boo.

I think it is fun to see the similarities.
