Crazy June

June has been busy, busy and busier around our house. With Golf Tournament season in full swing Matt is working and playing in a lot of events.

I have been as good at posting a blog for each adventure our family has been on this month, so I am going to combine a few.

Several weeks ago we were invited to go to Durango for the weekend with Chris, Hailee, Piper and Sydnee Hauquitz. We had a wonderful time. We joined them up at their cabin Thursday evening and stayed until mid-morning Sunday. It was wonderful Cami and Piper are about 3 weeks apart (age wise) and get along beautifully. They both LOVE to be outside and love to swim. We went swimming everyday, walked around the touristy part of Durango, played near the ski lodge and relaxed. It was just the re-energizing boost that Matt and I needed after an already long and busy (not even half over) tournament season. Although both Hailee and I had our cameras, I only ended up with one picture on my iphone. I guess we were just having too good of a time to stop and take pictures.

Here are Cam and Piper enjoying a ride around downtown Durango. Thanks Again Hauquitz Fam for letting us tag along for the weekend. We had a great time and hope to join you again sometime!

This past week/weekend, Matt had some work to do down in Roswell and then was playing in an member guest in Las Cruces. Matt decided that Cam and I should come along for the ride to Roswell and we'd all go to Cruces together.

Did I mention how HOT it has been in NM lately...especially Southern NM. While we were in Roswell it was 112! Yikes. Thankfully our hotel had an indoor pool. Cami is becoming an accomplished swimmer ...at least when she has her water wings on.
Showing off for Daddy. We'd been in the pool earlier that day to get a little practice in.
Happy Girl in the Water.

After leaving Roswell, we headed down to Las Cruces. Our good friends the Hanlon's live there. For the past 3 years it was been a tradition to go for a visit during the Picacho Hills CC member guest summer classic. Matt and Patrick enjoy playing together....and so does the rest of the family. The Hanlon's have 3 kiddos Molly (5 ... Almost 6), Ellie (3 1/2) and Nolan (9months). Cami loves playing with the BIG girls and they are so sweet and let her tag along and play with her. Did I mention that their mommy Jovonna and I get along great too! We even got away and had some mommy time including shopping and a pedicure KID FREE! Here are a few pictures from our time in Cruces.

Saturday night Cam got sick, poor baby. So Sunday was a day of laying low and watching a ton of movies. We were waiting on the guys to get home so that we could take off and head back to Albuquerque and we all fell asleep! This is a picture that Patrick took on his phone when he got home! Even baby Nolan was asleep in his crib.
Thank you Hanlon's for your amazing hospitality and friendship! Can't wait for August!

The craziness isn't stopping anytime soon! Matt is playing in the City Championship this coming weekend and then we are off to KS for a family vacation!

Weekend fun.....funday monday

We had a busy weekend...considering Matt wasn't working. Friday night Matt and I went out on a date. 5 guys and a movie! Our sweet babysitter Kenzie came over and played with Cami. Cam was so excited for her to come over and play, she wasn't the least disappointed when mommy and daddy left.

Saturday we had a birthday party to go to. Our friends Travis and Brittany Dutton's son Jace turned 1 this past week. They had a pool party at Jace's Aunt and Uncles house. It was so fun! Unfortunately ....Cam fell asleep on the way there and slept on daddy for a while (he didn't mind the snuggles) but she was a grouchy gus when she woke up.

Later that night we went over to the Archuleta's new house for dinner! A mini house warming! The food and company was excellent!

Sunday was a great day of chilling out and relaxing. Just the Perfect way to celebrate Matt! The best gift Cami gave her dad...she slept til almost 9am! We took dad our to breakfast, then went with him to work....which meant driving around on the golf course in a golf cart, one of Cam's favorite things to do! Gifts... of course. Watching the US Open and just relaxing the rest of the day. Just what daddy wanted !

Monday Funday

After having dinner with Nairne, Marcos and Liliana on Saturday Night, Nairne and I decided that we'd take the kids to the zoo Monday morning.

Here's my little movie star.
Posing by the tortoise, it started hissing at us, so we didn't stay too close for long
Narine and all the kids. The 2 extra that don't belong to us are the 2 kids that Nairne nannies for.
Sweet Liliana...getting so big
Me and Cam. Despite her facial expression in the picture, she actually does love me and did have a good time! Ha Ha Ha

After we got home and attempted a nap....mommy got out the new sprinkler attachment for the hose and we had a little fun!

Being ornery.... trying to spray mommy

Looking forward to a great rest of the week!

Swimming

Swimming time with the girls.

Our friends Hailee and Piper invited us to go swimming at Piper's Grandma and Papa's house. An opportunity we couldn't pass up. After Cami and Piper spent the entire weekend in Durango together they have been itching to play again.

There are Cami, Olivia and Piper ready to get in the pool. Waiting on the slow mommies!
Me with all three girls!
I have to admit these are some of my favorite little girls! Love their mommies too!
Cami is swimming pretty independently with her water wings! We practiced a lot when we were in Durango. After much thrashing about and whining and fussing, she finally figured out that she wasn't going to sink and mommy was going to be right next to her. When we got in the pool yesterday she did perfect. In fact a couple of times I asked her if she wanted me to hold her so she could rest, she told me no and she wanted to swim by herself!
We had so much fun. Thanks to the Hauquitz family for letting Cami be just another grandkid!

On a side note, As we were leaving Cami gave Sue (Piper's grandma) a big hug and kiss and told her thank you. Sue told her to come back again soon to swim some more. So for the rest of the day, Cami kept saying "I go back" ..."I go back swim Piper's gramma" Needless to say she had a wonderful time !

Summer is Here!

Summer is here!

As many of you know we have been battling the smoke that has moved into our area from the awful wild fires in AZ. Today was the clearest day in about a week...thankfully because we had a fun day planned!

We spent some time with our good friends Michele and Lexie... went to the gym like always and then went and walked to the mall in the cool air conditioning. We then went to chick-fil-a for lunch. After lunch we went to the spray park. It is this great little area that is concrete and has a ton of little sprayers! So perfect for toddlers! Did I mention it only cost $1 each! Even Better!

It was so nice! The area was totally secure and fenced in and the kids could pretty much run around anywhere and they were fine! The water felt great as it was 90+ degrees today! This is definitely one of our new favorite spots.

I apologize for most of the pictures being of the back of Cami.....she was on the go so much I had a hard time snapping good pics....plus I was using my phone!

My fearless girl was soaking wet before I even put our stuff down
Under the rainbow sprayers
Running Running Running the entire time, needless to say she was out like a light on the way home

There are Kaitlyn and Olivia

What a fun little treasure and so close to our house.

Our Little Golfer

At one of our first major events of the year, Matt wanted Cami to try out her real metal US Kids clubs. It was a priceless series of moments. Luckily Matt's co-worker was there to snap a few pictures of all three of us!

Papa don't be surprised if this is in your mail box for Fathers Day
Taking a couple of swings. The clubs are a bit heavy for her still!
Posing....with some directions from Dad
She looks the part
Priceless!
