Well its official! It's a Girl!

Tuesday morning we went in for our 20 week ultrasound. We were very anxious to find out the 'brand' (as my sister-in-law Jill would say) of baby we would be welcoming. Baby looked healthy and measuring 1 week ahead of due date, which is exactly like her big sister was. Baby Girl was hiding a bit behind the placenta so the ultrasound tech couldn't get all the measurements she needed, so we will be going back for a second ultrasound in another 4 weeks.

Top picture is of baby's leg and foot
Bottom picture is of back of baby's head and ear

Baby's profile. The minute Matt and I saw baby's profile we couldn't help but notice the resemblance to her big sissy. The picture below is an ultrasound from when I was pregnant with Cami. from the profile they look so much alike. Cami's picture is in 3D so it looks a little different quality.

Red Light Green Light

Tuesday we met up with our wonderful friends Kaitlyn and Olivia. We hadn't seen them in a very long time because Matt & I were out of town for work and Grandma and Papa were here. Needless to say that the girls missed each other (so did the mommies...texting just wasn't cutting it).

We were going to go to the park in the morning, but the mornings are feeling much more like fall these days and it was a little on the chilly side. Kait suggested that we go to this education play place called 'Red Light Green Light', we loved it. The girls played for an hour and 45 minutes and would have played longer, but this pregnant momma was ready for lunch! :)

I swiped a few pictures from Kaitlyn's blog (so sorry if you've seen some of these already), I took a few with my good camera then it died and there are a few from my phone. ENJOY

A giant kitchen...what a surprise that Cami started playing here first. She loves to pretend cook, serve and host. Much like I did at that age.
Vet shop. The girls were taking care of sweet little animals...although Cami seemed to be giving the animals more haircuts that healing bandages.

We had such a great time that we are seriously considering hosting Cami's third birthday party there. We have never actually thrown a birthday party for her before and with the new baby coming we'd like it to be very special. Now before you think we abuse our poor daughter with no birthday party, let me just say....we did go to Disney World on her first birthday.

Anyway, we loved this place and it is going to be a go to place this winter when we need to burn some energy! Thanks Altman Girls for letting us tag along and suggesting this little treasure!

McCall's Pumpkin Patch

McCalls Pumpkin Patch

Sunday we drove out to Moriarty, NM to go to McCall's pumpkin patch. This was our first time and man were we impressed! It was quite the deal. We met some friends out there and ran into a few more once out there. We arrived a little before 11am and didn't leave until almost 3 and we didn't even do everything.

Here are a few pictures of our adventure. I forgot the big camera at home, so these are all from my phone!

Lots of farm animals to see the goats were very eager they would almost climb the fence to get the food out of your hand. There was long horn cattle, a goose, pigs and lots of goats.

Here are Cami and daddy go cart racing. Before this we bounced in one of the three bouncy castles and explored 'boomtown' where Cami was able to play in various buildings in the town including the bank, general store, school house and post office. Great for a little girl with a big imagination.
Here they are on the air pillow. Lots of kiddos and parents jump on this thing. Matt said it was a long 7 minute turn. Cami loved it
The miners slide. Cami and Matt climbed up a hill and were able to slide down the slide. Cami wasn't all too happy that she had to ride with dad. Miss independent wanted to go down the dark slide all by herself!

Every 15 minutes they shot off a pumpkin canon....this was a big hit with my husband.
Cami riding the 'cow train'. This was adorable they had all these barrels converted to little cows and then they pulled it all around via a little tractor. Cami loved this so much she had to ride twice!
I think Cami thought she was riding in a parade....she was waving at everyone. There was also a cow bell to ring as she was riding.

after seeing almost everything we bought lunch and headed home after riding the cow train one more time! It was so much fun!

What we've been up to!

What we've been up to..... Well it has been a very busy couple of weeks for us at the Williams household. Matt's parents generously agreed to come down to NM to help us out. Matt and I needed to go to Farmington for a tournament and then on to LV, NV to represent the golf tourism alliance with a booth at the ADA national conference.

This meant two things, Grandma and Papa had Cami all to themselves for a whole week (a fact to which they were thrilled) and I had to leave my baby for the first time (aside from date night babysitters). The day came and I was a mess, leaving was definitely the hardest part for me, probably because Matt worked me to exhaustion and kept me extremely busy!

We drove from Albuquerque to Farmington helped run one day of the SCAGA Mid-Am, then drove towards Las Vegas. The drive was a whole story in and of itself....we'll just say it took us an hour and a half to get through Shiprock NM (because of a Navajo festival) and when we stopped for gas Matt saw a guy pull a knife on another guy for cutting in line at the pump. Needless to say to we were anxious to be on our way.

We drove into Vegas Sunday mid-day...one of the sights we saw from the car. Lake Mead, a little desert treasure. We only saw it from the road, but it was a far prettier sight than most of the dessert we had been driving through. Once we arrived in Las Vegas we went straight to the Mandalay Bay (Host of the ADA conference) and set up our booth.

There is our booth pretty much set up, we ended up having to change a few things because of conference regulations etc. But overall this was pretty much the look. The booth we were assigned was in the back quadrant, not a great location but we had some real success. Being one of the only travel / golf booths at the entire convention helped.
Being nervous about leaving Cami, I put together a little present for her to open every day and Matt and I included a note. Most of the presents were very simple....dollar store treasures, but I wanted her to know that we were still thinking of her. Apparently it helped get out the grouchies after nap time. Here is Cami showing off one present, Grandma was great about taking pics and texting them to me.
Here is another picture Grandma sent me, Papa and Cami enjoying morning cartoons.
Walking into the conference one day...who would be there but Elvis. LOL, the things you see in Vegas.
End of day three, it was time to take down the booth. Overall it was very successful, we learned a lot and got a bunch of great leads. It was nice to have some kid free time with my hubby. I know a certain set of grandparents and a little girl who enjoyed themselves immensely. But man was I glad to be home and get a hug from my sweety!

Balloon Fiesta 2011

Well, it is that time again in the land of enchantment....BALLOON FIESTA! This is a magical time of year when the morning skies fill up with gorgeous hot air balloons. Matt had to display a booth for the Golf Tourism Alliance at the balloon fiesta, so we made it a family outing. For those of you who have never been there it is an early morning affair. We left the house at 4:30am!

We ran into our friends the Hauquitz family. Here are Cami and Piper!
Beautiful.

Trip to the Fair

*This post is mostly for Matt, as he is out of town and wanted some pictures from our adventure*

Its fair time in NM. Some friends of ours invited Cami and I to tag along to the fair with them this weekend. I think they felt bad because I am husbandless this weekend (lol), regardless of the reason we joined them and had a great time!

We started out by taking in a dog show. Cami even got to 'participate' in the show by throwing a Frisbee to the dogs. I am proud to saw not only did she get it over the fence, but airborne as well. Our little athlete!

We also saw a lion exhibit. We didn't stay there long, despite my daughters affection for the creatures. There was one lioness who took particular interest in my daughter and I had no intention on allowing her to be lunch.
Cami and Mommy hanging out at the fair! We had a great time, but we sure missed Daddy!

After catching a couple of 'shows' we headed to see the animals. It was the big draw for our toddlers.
Here are Cami and Piper at the 4-H exhibit with a baby donkey.

Checking out the sheep.

We were able to walk through this area called McDonald's Farm, it was designed for kiddos to 'experience' snippets of farm life. Picking fruits and veggies (fake ones), sitting on a big tractor (which we skipped as Cami wasn't impressed if she couldn't hear it and drive it, like she gets to at Papa's), collecting eggs and milking a cow.
Here is Cami getting ready to milk the cow. A pretend one of course.
Giddy-Up horsey
Looking like a cute cowgirl!

Next up was the petting zoo. She was able to feed the animals as well as pet them. If you ask her, she got to feed goats and sheep. It was fun getting up close with the animals. Cami wasn't very happy that she had to feed the cow with a spoon. She looked at me and said ' I feed cows with my hand at my Papa's house'.
Petting the goats

After the petting zoo, we ate some delicious fair food and walked around a bit more. We then got caught in torrential downpour on the way to the car. I'm talking soaked through all my clothes kinda rain.

Overall all a great day. Needless to say we are a couple of tired girls! Thanks to the Hauquitz Family and the Altman Family for a great day!

What I've been up to lately

I have been very into crafting, organizing and sewing lately. I am going to try and deflect some of the blame and call it early nesting. In reality, most of the blame falls onto the new addiction that I have called Pinterest. Because of this new addiction I somehow convinced my wonderful husband that I needed a sewing machine!

Look what I found all wrapped up when I got home from Florida a couple of weeks ago!!!
My brand new sewing Machine. Which I love and is incredibly easier to use....much easier than the old one of my grandmothers (that broke several months ago) and to Matt's delight, Much lighter.

My first project was to make spare toilet paper roll holders for the downstairs bath and the guest/Cami's bathroom. As most of you know our house is on the smallish side for our ever expanding family, so I am doing everything I can to optimize space before the new baby comes.
I trimmed a towel with matching fabric. Not perfect by any means, but pretty good for a beginner.
Spare toilet paper holder. Friends and family do not be surprised if you see these in your Christmas gift....LOL
For Cami's / Guest bathroom upstairs.

Next project is a wreath. As most of you know Matt is a diehard K-State fan. He played golf there, and will pretty much cheer for any sport team from there. I think he has even brainwashed me into thinking I went there.

Anyhow, since we live in NM and can rarely if ever find K-State items I either have to make my own, wait until we go back to KS or send my mother in law in search of items (a task she is very willing to help with). I found this idea on pinterest, the original was an Alabama wreath....I feel my K-State adaptation turned out pretty well. Matt was pleased!

Go Wildcats!

Like I said before, Organization has been on the top of my priority list. For those of you who have little girls, probably have/had the same problem I did trying to figure out how to tame and organize the endless supply of headbands. Well folks, I found the solution...
I still need to finish the lid, but you can get the major drift. A oat box with some modge podged scrapbook paper and taa-daa an instant headband holder.

Next came Cami's closet. With a new baby on the way, and the inevitability of our kids sharing a room, I thought now was the time to re-organize and purge unneeded items. I spent the better part of a day getting rid of stuff and cleaning out drawers. The finishing touch making and adding closet size organizers.
With cardstock, scrapbook paper and modepodge I already had at the house....this project cost me literally ...zero extra dollars! They are definitely not perfect, but they are doing the job nicely!

Well as for my busy two (almost and a half) year old. There are even benefits for her because of my pinerest addiction... a never ending supply of art project ideas. She loves doing art projects! We spend a good portion of the day using side walk chalk, coloring and doing art projects. She even just loves to play with my craft items, going through the jewels, ribbons and brads is so fun!

So here are a couple of her latest projects....
A tree.
and an Owl.
