Well, this desert girl has gotten a taste of a real winter this last week. WOW! This all started last week. The first storm blew in early Thursday morning. It was dropping 2-3 inches per hour at times. Matt got up to check everything at 6:30 and said that it had barely started sticking.

This is at about 1-2pm |
This first storm dropped about 12 or so inches of snow very quickly. It pretty much shut things down on Thursday.

I made these Blavaclava's for Matt and Cami. |
The plows came in our parking lot and cleared our parking lot. Its great that it is a benefit of living in an apartment style community. The only bad thing is that I ended up having a 3 1/2 ft snow drift behind my car. It took me about an hour to dig the car our on Sunday morning. Thanks to our friends the Claycamps for lending us a couple of shovels, since they were sold out all over town.

A little melting happened sunday. Here is some playing over the weekend |
Our next winter storm came Monday night/Tuesday morning. They were forecasting upwards of 18inches in some parts of the city and possible power outages. luckily we only got about 10 inches here. We had a few flickers of power surges, but nothing major.

Here is a bobcat hauling snow into a huge truck and they hauled it away. |
