Well, since I haven't been as good about blogging lately I decided to do a big post of a bunch of things rather than try and break it down. Honestly, we haven't done anything really major and post worthy lately that require its very own post. So here's a few things that we have been up to...
One of the local theaters has free kids movies every tuesday and wednesday. This was our first trip. We saw Charlotte's Web. We had a great time. It was a nice way to stay cool and get out of the house for FREE! |
The mom's group at church that I participate in is called Mother's Together (MT for future posts). Anyhow, they take the summer off but get together for fun social activities throughout the summer. One of the things we do is called 'sole sisters' where we meet and go walking and then enjoy appetizers and hanging out time after. I am so thankful that God place Matt and I at Heartland where I have been welcomed with open arms by a great group of women. |

It had been raining and raining earlier that day, so Cami had to show off her new rainboots! On a side note, I found them on sale at Target for $3.44 ... score! It hasn't rained since. Maybe I should make her wear them again to bring on some rain. |

The Heat! The heat has been so bad here, literally been triple digits for days. I'll tell you what, 100 degrees in KS is way different than NM. So this is us finding things to keep entertained since playing outside is out. So Cami is a willing 'helper' to my daily & weekly chores. |
We have made some wonderful friends. Kristin, Livia and Brooklyn. They invited us to come to their house for a playdate last week. It was so fun!
Here are Brooklyn and Reese playing on the floor while the big girls were having a great time in the kitchen. I know what you're thinking.... but Brooklyn is only 3 weeks older than Reese. My little scrawny girls looks so tiny. |
Here are the big girls playing with shaving cream on the kitchen counter. Kristin was brave to let them do this in the house! |
Last weekend, when we were at Matt's folks house, Carroll gave me a bunch of cucumbers out of his garden. SO this past wednesday I went to the farmer's market near our house and bought the remainder of the ingredients I needed to make pickles. Also happening in the downtown Overland Park area was a free kids concert. Like everywhere in the KC metro there is a fountain in which the kiddos can play... I didn't know this. So I didn't have dry clothes for Cam....lesson learned.
